Another product of the Bayswater junior footy factory has returned home with Rodney Opp pulling the boots back on.

The silky wingman played for Bayswater Junior Football Club and our under-19s from 2010 to 2013 before a season at Ringwood.

Opp joins Justin Dight and Liam Burns as recruits in the past fortnight, with momentum building ahead of Bayswater’s first practice match against Upwey-Tecoma on March 17.

Footy season is just around the corner with Bayswater's first practice match in three weeks at Upwey.

The following Saturday they take on Templestowe, with the venue to be confirmed.

Exact start times for the 19s, Reserves, Women and Men’s senior matches will be confirmed shortly.

Bayswater's first match of the home and away season will be on April 6 against East Ringwood at East Ringwood Reserve.

A chance meeting on a job site with 2016 Premiership captain Joel Galvin has culminated with Liam Burns signing with Bayswater for the 2019 season.

Liam, who has played with Nunawading, VAFA outfit Northern Blues and Irymple in the Sunraysia league, has been a regular at training this year.

We welcome down any players that want to play and train on the best ground in the eastern suburbs.

Bayswater has its first pre-season hitout against Upwey-Tecoma on Sunday March 17.

/2016 senior premiership player Justin Dight has signed with the club for the 2019 season.

The tough midfielder/forward has returned home after playing one season with the top-of-the-table Ringwood in division three.

Dight will be well known to the Bayswater faithful, having represented the club since under 9s in 2001.
