Josh Doffay has put pen to paper for the 2020 season!

Doffay, another young gun from Vermont, will bring class to our under-19s team when the season commences.

17-year-old athletic midfielder Paul Haasbroek has signed on for the 2020 season!

The Australian junior decathlon champion, who has crossed from Vermont, impressed in last weekend’s intra club match and will push for senior selection when the season gets underway.

Another premiership hero returns!

26-year-old defender Dave Eddy has put pen to paper for the 2020 season.

The 2014 SEN Team of the Year half back returns to the club where he has played 31 senior games, including the 2016 flag.

Following a meeting of the Six Senior Metropolitan Community Leagues on March 18, a collective decision was made to postpone all Community Senior and Junior football and Netball competitions until the weekend of Saturday, May 2, 2020.

The club is thrilled to welcome back senior premiership player Scott McInerney for the 2020 season.

The skillful 24-year-old has played 56 games for Bayswater after making his senior debut in 2016.

Scott, a former Eastern Ranges player, was one of our finest players in our season in the top division in 2017 when he placed eighth in the best and fairest.

The 2020 pre season kicks off on Monday at 6pm at the senior clubrooms for our men’s teams.

New players are always welcome and the club is also looking forward to seeing the next crop of exciting young talent at training with those from this year’s under 17s making the step up to under-19s in 2020.

We are excited to announce Matt Chapman as the under-19 coach for the 2020 season.

Matt, who has played over 200 games for the club, also has coaching experience with our veterans side and Park Orchards juniors.

We had a club record five under-19s play senior football this year and we look forward to Matt continuing to develop that next wave of talent.

The club would also like to thank Darren Mays who has done a stellar job coaching the side over the past two years.

Congratulations to Zoe Alston who has joined club greats Gary and Joel Galvin as the only player to win five senior best and fairests!

Zoe claimed the Lisa Alston Medal after polling a total of 95 votes playing in the midfield and back line ahead of midfielder Brenda Lay on 74 votes, with Brenda notching her third top five finish.

Congratulations to Justin Dight who has claimed his second reserves best and fairest!

Dight, the 2013 winner, polled 85 votes to be awarded the Alan Lilly Medal from the ever-reliable centre half back Sam Reeves (71) and ruckman Sheldon Smith (64).

Playing coach Paddie Iellamo (58) produced his best season with fourth place while Zac Leacy (48) finished fifth despite only playing four matches.

Congratulations to Tom Deane who has won the Under-19 Best and Fairest!

The wingman stormed home in the second half of the season to claim the Keith Boldiston Medal with 80 votes from elusive midfielder Jai Melchiorre nine votes behind.

The 2018 winner Kane Capaldo finished third with 65 votes while Lachie Hunt (63) and Zac Deane (55) rounded out the top five.
